What is Taletrove?
Taletrove is a monthly printed family newsletter that brings together stories, messages, and photos from your family and sends them to a loved one by post — ideal for relatives who aren’t online.
How does it work?
Family members send in photos and updates via WhatsApp, email, or text. Taletrove compiles them into a professionally designed A5 newsletter, which is printed and posted each month. A digital version is shared with contributors too.
Do I need to download an app?
No. There’s no app required — just send your updates via WhatsApp, email or text.
Can I include captions or messages with the photos I send?
Yes! You can include messages or short captions to add a personal touch to each photo.
Who can send in content?
Any approved family or friends. The main account holder manages contributors. While there’s no hard limit, we recommend keeping the group manageable for simplicity.
Can I invite others to contribute?
Yes! You can add a relative or friend to your account by entering their mobile number or email. Most families find it easiest to create a shared WhatsApp group — that way, everyone can send content in and keep track of what’s been submitted.
Can I edit or remove a submission?
Yes. The main account holder can make edits or remove content up until the submission deadline.
Is there a limit to how many photos and messages I can send?
Yes — up to 40 combined items per month. We’ll let you know if you’re nearing the limit.
Can newsletters be sent to care homes or assisted living facilities?
Absolutely. Taletrove can deliver to any UK postal address, including care homes and retirement settings.
Do you send newsletters abroad?
Currently, we only deliver within the UK. However, if you’d like your newsletter sent to an address outside the UK, please reach out to us directly — we’re happy to explore a custom arrangement.
Can I send the newsletter to multiple recipients?
Yes, you can. If the newsletter content is the same but the delivery address is different, we offer a discounted rate — just get in touch to arrange this.
If both the content and delivery address differ, you’ll need a separate subscription for each recipient.
Can I choose the order of the content in the newsletter?
Content is arranged chronologically based on when it’s submitted. We keep it simple so you don’t have to worry about formatting or layout.
Will I receive a digital copy of the newsletter?
Yes. A PDF version is emailed to contributors and also stored in your Taletrove account.
Can I access past newsletters online?
Yes. You’ll find an archive of your newsletters in your account for easy access and sharing.
What if I forget to send something in?
We send gentle reminders each week to help keep things on track.
Can I preview the newsletter before it’s printed?
Yes. The main account holder receives a preview to review before printing.
I’ve signed up — now what happens?
You’ll receive a welcome email and a WhatsApp message with your next steps, including how to start sending in photos and messages for your first newsletter.
How much does it cost?
£7/month or £60/year. The first month is only £3.50.
How do I pay?
Payments are made securely via credit/debit card or PayPal through our website.
Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?
Yes — you can change your plan at any time in your account settings.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, through the Taletrove portal. Your subscription stays active until your current billing period ends.
Can I get a refund?
We’re happy to offer a refund any time before your newsletter goes to print. Once your monthly newsletter has been printed, we’re unable to process a refund for that month.
How does billing work?
You’re charged on the same day each month (or year) based on when you first sign up. If you sign up before the 20th, your first newsletter will be sent on the 29th of that same month. If you sign up on or after the 20th, your first newsletter will be sent on the 29th of the following month.
How long do I have to submit messages and photos?
You have until midnight on the 28th of each month to send in your photos and messages.
What happens after the submission deadline?
After the deadline, the Taletrove team gets to work designing and assembling your newsletter. It’s then printed and posted via Royal Mail 2nd Class, arriving in the first week of the new month.
What happens if a payment fails?
We’ll notify you and attempt to process it again. If it remains unpaid, your subscription may be paused.
What if my recipient doesn’t receive the newsletter?
No problem — just email me directly and I’ll help sort it out.

When will my first newsletter arrive?
Newsletters are printed and posted on the 28th of each month via Royal Mail. Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days.
Where is the newsletter printed?
In the UK, using 150GSM high-quality paper.
Can I change the delivery address?
Yes — update it anytime via your online account.
Can I change the recipient?
Yes. You can update the recipient’s name and details in your account.
Do you offer Taletrove for care homes?
Yes — we offer tailored services and group pricing for care homes and social care providers. Contact us to learn more.
What do you do with my data?
Your content is kept secure and never sold. Messages sent via WhatsApp, email or text are deleted after 60 days. Content uploaded to our site is retained until cancellation. After cancellation, individual images are deleted after 100 days. Completed newsletters are archived for your access. For full details, see our Privacy Policy on our website.
